Behind the Scenes #18

June’s passed us by, so it’s time for my monthly Behind the Scenes article! I write these each month over on Patreon as a way to thank my backers for their continued support. In this month’s article I share my wordcount thus far for 2024, talk about my ongoing work for RuneQuest, and mull over reasons whether or not to release a Beta Edition of my next book.

If you like the stuff I write here each week, I’d really appreciate if you join! Backers help me pay for site hosting, domain names, and other odds and ends around Akhelas HQ. Membership’s about the same as a cup of fancy coffee each month, and it really does help me out.

Thanks again to everyone who reads, comments, reviews, babbles about, yells at me, and does other stuff because of my work. I love seeing everyone’s responses to what I do (even when it’s bemused or critical). I’m absolutely gonna shill for more support which keeps the lights on and the cat fed, but don’t for an instant believe that financial support is the only element which matters. Every little bit matters, and I value all of it.

Thank you.

Next week will be back to the usual slightly-irreverent babbling about games and fiction! See you then.
